The decree of the state sanitary and epidemiological service №18 of February 19, 2016, will simplify the conduct of medical (sanitary) inspection of ships in ports in practice
The state sanitary and epidemiological service by his decree №18 of February 19, 2016, has established an exhaustive list of grounds for conducting medical (sanitary) inspection of vessels in Ukrainian ports.
"We have issued this decree, to create an efficient instrument of deregulation of the activities of our service at ports. The document will allow to simplify control procedures in practice", - said acting Chairman of the state sanitary and epidemiological service, chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Sviatoslav Protas.
As reports the press service of the Ministry of health, the decree determined that the implementation of the main Directorate gossanepidsluzhby on a water transport of medical (sanitary) inspection shall be by prior agreement of the state sanitary and epidemiological service and solely in the case of:
- information from the captains of ships, river vessels or the harbour authorities about the presence among the crew members, passengers, patients and / or persons in respect of whom there is a suspicion of infectious disease is of international importance, or the presence of disease vectors
